Alison Pill
Pill worked in productions in her native Canada but it would take several years to get her first appearance before she broke into the American market. A few of her appearances were in an episode of the Canadian show Traders that starred Bruce Gray. Pill earned a place on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation which starred Wallace Langham, Liz Vassey, Michael Ensign, Michael G. Hagerty, Naren Shankar. The episode was titled "Would If, Maybe, But Shoulda". In the immediate aftermath of her work with Picard, Pill appeared in one of the major roles in the critically acclaimed sci-fi mini-series Devs (served by the digital the VFX company Double Negative) produced by FX Productions for Hulu, similar to her character in Picard, appearing in every episode of that series while taking on a role that was very similar as a scientists "Katie". The similarities between the shows did not end at that point. The show's creators revealed that the central concept revolves around the preservation consciousness in artificial created creature. This is similar to what Data played in the film's season one finale "Et in Arcadia Ego Part 2."
