Sadie Amara Calvano hails from America and is known as the actress who played Violet Plunkett, in CBS the sitcom Mom. An California resident, Calvano was initially interested in gymnastics competition. She decided, later on to pursue a career path in acting. The first time she appeared on screen was on the screen in 2010 with the episode of CBS's NCIS. Her first big-screen appearance came one year later with the biographical film of crime drama 'J Edgar'. Over the years she's established herself to be one of the best young actresses within the field today. She was nominated in 2011 for the Young Artist Award in the category of the Best Performance by Young Actresses 11-15 for her work on NCIS. She was also nominated in 2013 for an Young Artist Award, this time due to her performance as a guest on Disney XD's comedic series "Kickin' It". Calvano was an integral part of the cast of 'Mom' in its initial three seasons, and also made several appearances in Season 4. Calvano's performance as a rising star in Mom was recognized with the Gracie Allen Award, which is awarded to female actresses.
